Privacy Policy for Monevia

Last updated: September 28, 2026

Monevia is a simple income and expense tracking application designed to help users record and manage their personal financial transactions.

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Monevia handles your information and the permissions used by the app.

Privacy Summary: Monevia stores your income and expense records locally on your device. Your transaction records are not uploaded to our servers and are not shared with us.

1. Information Stored by Monevia

Monevia allows you to create and manage financial records such as:

This information is stored locally in the application's database on your device.

Monevia does not upload your transaction records to our servers.

2. Local Data Storage

Monevia is designed primarily as an offline personal finance tracker. Your income, expense, and related financial records are stored locally on your device.

Because the information is stored locally, you remain responsible for protecting your device and maintaining backups of any important data.

3. Camera Permission

Monevia may request access to your device's camera when you choose to take a photo for your profile image.

Camera access is only used when you intentionally select the option to capture a profile image. Monevia does not use your camera in the background or for tracking, advertising, or analytics purposes.

4. Photos / Gallery Access

Monevia may allow you to select an existing image from your device to use as your profile image.

The selected image is used only for the profile image feature. Monevia does not upload your profile image to our servers or share it with third parties.

Depending on your device and operating system, image selection may be handled through the system photo picker or through permission granted by you.

5. Import and Export

Monevia provides import and export functionality so that you can back up, restore, or transfer your income and expense records.

Exported files are created only when you request an export. You decide where the exported file is saved or shared.

When importing data, Monevia accesses only the file that you select for the import process.

We do not automatically upload exported or imported financial records to our servers.

6. Reports and Financial Summaries

Monevia uses the transaction information stored on your device to generate financial reports and summaries, including:

These reports are generated from your locally stored data and are intended only to help you understand your personal income and expenses.

7. Data Collection and Sharing

Monevia does not require you to create an online account to use its core income and expense tracking features.

We do not collect or receive your locally stored transaction records, profile image, income information, or expense information through our own servers.

We do not sell your personal or financial information.

We do not share your locally stored financial records with advertisers or other third parties.

8. Data Security

Since your Monevia records are stored locally on your device, the security of this information also depends on the security of your device.

We recommend using appropriate device security features such as a screen lock, PIN, password, fingerprint, or other available security protections.

You should also keep exported backup files in a secure location, especially if those files contain personal financial information.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Your transaction records remain stored locally on your device until you delete them through the app, clear the application's data, or uninstall the application, subject to your device's operating system behavior and any backup copies you have created.

You can delete individual records from within Monevia where the relevant deletion option is available.

Exported backup files are controlled by you and must be deleted separately from the location where you saved them.

10. Permission Control

You can manage permissions granted to Monevia through your device settings.

If you deny camera or photo access, the related profile image feature may not be available, but the main income and expense tracking functionality can continue to work.

11. Children's Privacy

Monevia is a general-purpose income and expense tracking application and is not specifically designed or directed toward children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own servers.

12. Third-Party Services

Monevia's core financial tracking functionality does not require your transaction records to be uploaded to a Monevia server.

If future versions of the application introduce third-party services that collect or process user data, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain those services and their data practices.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Monevia's features, legal requirements, or privacy practices.

When changes are made, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.

We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
