1. Accessibility Service API Usage

Our app uses the Android AccessibilityService API to provide its core functionality: automatic text expansion.

Purpose: We use this API solely to detect when you type a specific "shortcut" (e.g., "tnx") and replace it with your pre-defined "expansion" (e.g., "Thank you").
Data Collection: We DO NOT collect, store, or transmit any text you type, passwords, credit card numbers, or any other sensitive information.
Sharing: We DO NOT share any data captured via the Accessibility Service with third parties.
Control: You must explicitly grant permission for the Accessibility Service in your device settings. You can revoke this permission at any time.

2. Data Storage

All your shortcuts and app preferences are stored locally on your device using secure Android storage (Room database and DataStore). This data never leaves your device unless you manually perform a system-level backup (e.g., Google Drive backup for Android apps), which is controlled by your Android system settings.

3. Personal Information

We do not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any personal identity information to use Text Replacement.

4. Third-Party Services

The current version of the app does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or cloud synchronization services. There are no hidden trackers.

5. Data Security

We follow industry-standard security practices for Android development to protect your locally stored data from unauthorized access by other apps on your device.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
